Seven Cub Scout packs from across Flintshire recently joined together for a District event held at Holywell swimming baths, an evening full of competition, team work and fun.

The Cubs competed against each other at the annual event which this year was attended by over sixty Cubs along with their leaders who helped judge. There were a variety of races, and after a number of very close heats the winners were revealed, this year in joint first were Trinity Fammau and Penyffordd.

Penyffordd Cub Alex said “I swam breast stroke and the relay and I felt delighted at winning overall”

The evening was enjoyed by everyone that took part and it ended with the top three competitors from each race getting certificates, and the overall winning teams got certificates and the much sought after trophy which will be shared between them.

9 year old Penyffordd Cub Luke said “I felt really excited and happy about winning, my favorite bit was getting the trophy.”
