About the Presenter

Meet Kevin, your guide for this session into the world of AI and Scouting! With over 20 years of leadership experience in the private sector and as Operations Director of a global scientific business, PetroStrat, Kevin brings a wealth of expertise in streamlining operations and fostering innovation. By day, he manages complex projects and drives strategic efficiency in the private sector, especially through implementing new technology and thinking, but his true passion lies in volunteering with ScoutsCymru, where he holds the position of Regional Lead Volunteer for North Wales.

Kevin’s mission? To make Scouting not only safe and adventurous but also as impactful and efficient as possible. He is all too aware of the level of admin that is required within Scouting and his recent work has focused on integrating digital tools like Generative AI and GPT-powered solutions into his company, and his own personal life, to cut down on the repetitive tasks and to help free people up. He is keen to explain AI, debunk some myths, and show you how AI can help volunteers save time, reduce admin, and focus on what truly matters – making a difference in young people’s lives. With his blend of industry knowledge and a hands-on approach to AI, Kevin is excited to provide a introductiont to this fascinating subject which is regularly misunderstood, share some insights and offer practical suggestions for you to integrate AI into your Scouting journey.
