Let’s get together for some fun but remember that the deadline is fast approaching

Last year, during the strategy launch, I promised that we would be looking at running a regular, yearly event, to give the volunteers in the Area the chance to come together, have fun, meet new people, learn some new things and take some time out.

I am excited to announce that we will be hosting our first Clwyd Area Reunion on the weekend of Friday the 2nd of June to Sunday 4th of June 2023 @ The Gladstone Centre Scout Campsite in Hawarden, Flintshire.

The deadline for ticket sales is midnight on Sunday 30th April.

The plan is really simple. Give adult volunteers that work so very hard week in, and week out, the chance to let their hair down. The cost to you to attend is ZERO. This will be entirely funded by Area. 

This event is solely for adult volunteers so there is no need to look after young members on this event. It’s time for you to have a go at some of the things you are always running for your sections!

Some of the ideas that have been tabled already include (subject to change, but we will confirm closer to the date when the programme is locked down)

Camping will be available from Friday night all through to Sunday, again, free of charge. Everyone that attends will be responsible for feeding themselves during the day/event so you will need to bring food and cooking equipment.

If you want to attend only for a day, or for a few hours, that’s absolutely fine as well. 

An Eventbrite booking event will be made available next week for ticket booking. If you want to attend, please book via Eventbrite ASAP. Places are limited.
