1st Rhuddlan’s Squirrel Drey celebrated their 1st birthday this week in style with cake, fun and games!

Squirrels are our latest provision for four to six year olds. Their aim is to help young people gain skills for life at a time when it matters most and where it’s most needed. Every week, Squirrels gather to grow and learn their way through lots of different games and activities. We believe that our Squirrels can achieve anything they set their minds to – and they have lots of fun along the way.

Donna Musgrove, one of the volunteers at 1st Rhuddlan said, ‘We had a fab time this evening with dancing, games, food, badges, and certificates’.

The first Squirrel Drey launched in September 2021. 1st Rhuddlan Scout Group in the Vale of Clwyd is home to 2 Squirrel Dreys with another one being located at 3rd Prestatyn Scout Group. As an area, we are home to 9 Dreys – we’re always looking to expand our offering. If you’re interested in starting a Squirrels Drey within your group, speak to your District Lead Volunteer for further guidance or check out this handy webpage.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday to 1st Rhuddlan’s Squirrel Drey!
