We have been busy recruiting new Lead Volunteers for Llangollen and Wrexham districts and are pleased to introduce you to Jonathan Wheeldon and Joanne Briggs.
Jon has been an assistant section leader with 1st Rhosnessney Scout Group’s Squirrel Drey since October 2023. He will be taking on the role of Lead Volunteer for Llangollen with immediate effect, taking over from Interim Lead Volunteer, Kevin Field.
Joanne is currently the section leader with 1st Rossett’s Beaver Colony as well as one of the group’s Trustees. She will take over from David (Moz) Morris from 1st January 2025 when he retires from his role as District Lead Volunteer after nearly 10 years in the role. She will begin to work alongside Moz during a transitional period.
We’re so excited for Jon and Joanne to join the Area Leadership team and we’re really excited to see them both flourish within their new roles. They’ll be making contact with their districts over the coming months to introduce themselves properly and let you know how you can contact them.
