Montgomeryshire is one of five Districts in Clwyd with Groups in Abermule, Four Crosses, Guilsfield, Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Newtown, Tanat Valley and Welshpool, and seven Explorer Scout Units.

We’re really excited to announce that Montgomeryshire Scouts will soon become part of Clwyd Area. From 1st December 2025, Montgomeryshire will join Flintshire, Llangollen, Vale of Clwyd (Denbighshire) and Wrexham as one of the five Districts of Clwyd Area Scouts.
