A man who is walking 1,448 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats, via the three highest points of Wales, England and Scotland, made it to Clwyd yesterday and was met by local Scouts.

Adam Dawson is undertaking this incredible challenge in order to raise funds for the hardship fund for the World Scout Jamboree. His two sons have been to previous Jamborees and he was so impressed with what they got out of it, he decided to raise funds for others to go.

Yesterday Adam made it to Connah’s Quay and was met by Andrew Shaw and Alex Harrison from the Gold Diggers Jamboree Unit, and their leader Moz, along with members of Connah’s Quay Scout Group who had opened up their hut to make him a brew.

Adam said, “It was nice to meet some people who could really relate to the cause I’m supporting.”
