As #UKParliamentWeek draws to a close we wanted to highlight some of the activities our groups have gotten up to this week.

1st Bistre Scout Group met with Flintshire’s Climate Change Committee for an insightful Q & A which left a lasting impact on the dignitaries and councillors involved (read more here: https://www.1stbistrescouts.org.uk/…/1st-bistre-scouts…)

2nd Rhyl Scout Group and Bobcats Explorer Unit had a visit from Vale of Clwyd MP, Dr James Davies. He spoke to the group about his role, how he got into it and answered some questions.

Mynydd Isa Scout Group spent some time to learn about both UK Parliament and The Senedd. They then split off into groups to form their own parties. The group then voted on whose manifesto was best. As a result of writing their own manifestos, highlighting issues relevant to them as young people, they have decided to contact their local MP to share their findings.

Some fantastic activities from across the districts. It’s great to see young people having open and meaningful conversations about politics. Thank you to all of our leaders for organising these events and to the MPs, councillors and dignitaries for offering their time to engage in conversation with our young people.
