Clwyd Scouts are hosting Youth Hustings 2026 in Rhyl, a free event for young people aged 14 to 25 to meet local representatives, ask questions and explore ways to get involved locally.

Mae Clwyd Scouts yn cynnal Hustings Ieuenctid 2026 yn y Rhyl, digwyddiad am ddim i bobl ifanc 14 i 25 oed gwrdd â chynrychiolwyr lleol, gofyn cwestiynau a darganfod sut i gymryd rhan yn eu hardal.

Clwyd Scouts are proud to be bringing Youth Hustings 2026 to Rhyl, creating a space where young people can speak directly to decision makers and learn more about the opportunities available to them locally.

Organised by our Area Youth Lead, Aimee Curtis, the event is open to both Scouts and non Scouts aged 14 to 25 from Denbighshire, Flintshire, Montgomeryshire and Wrexham.

Youth Hustings 2026 is about more than just a panel discussion. It is an opportunity to:

  • Meet local elected representatives
  • Ask questions about the issues that matter to you
  • Learn more about local opportunities, including Scouting
  • Discover how to get involved in local decision making
  • Take part in creative and adventurous activities running throughout the day

Alongside the panel session, there will be interactive activities designed to keep the afternoon engaging and inclusive, making sure everyone feels confident to take part.

Aimee Curtis said:

“This event is about giving young people real access to the people making decisions in their communities. We want it to feel open, welcoming and empowering. It is also a chance to showcase the fantastic opportunities available locally, including through Scouting, and to help young people understand how they can influence change.”

Yn ogystal â’r sesiwn banel, bydd gweithgareddau rhyngweithiol yn rhedeg drwy’r prynhawn i sicrhau bod pawb yn teimlo’n hyderus i gymryd rhan.

Dywedodd Aimee Curtis:

“Mae’r digwyddiad hwn yn rhoi cyfle gwirioneddol i bobl ifanc gael mynediad at y rhai sy’n gwneud penderfyniadau yn eu cymunedau. Rydym am iddo fod yn agored, yn groesawgar ac yn rymusol. Mae hefyd yn gyfle i arddangos y cyfleoedd gwych sydd ar gael yn lleol, gan gynnwys drwy’r Sgowtiaid, ac i helpu pobl ifanc ddeall sut y gallant ddylanwadu ar newid.”
